NUEVO ZAMBOANGA LABORATORY HOTEL: A New Landmark in ZC @ JUNE 2014

In April 2012, I wrote in In Pinay's Footsteps:
NCZI Extension: Blessing and Inauguration April 2012
"Four years ago, my visionary friend, Monsi dela Cruz envisioned a path to help other people... and that was the beginning of the Nuevo Zamboanga College Inc. based in the Lantaka Hotel Annex.
Initially, Nuevo Zamboanga College Inc. started with TESDA Accredited courses, then, developed the three year Hotel and Restaurant Management program, where they had just their first set of graduates and just last year, started with the four year BS Hotel and Restaurant Management and BS Criminology courses.
Last February 2012, I was invited by Monsi to attend the ground-breaking of the NZCI extension in Pasobolong, which unfortunately I wasn't able to attend.
To my great surprise, I was now invited to the blessing and inauguration of the Nuevo Zamboanga College Inc. Extension in Pasobolong, in just two months!!!"

Indeed, a visionary!!!

When initially, they had about 30 students, in just a few years time, they now have about 500 students! From TESDA Courses, they now also have the B.S. Hotel and Restaurant Management and the B.S. Criminology full courses.

Last February 1, 2014, which incidentally is NZCI President Crisanto Dela Cruz's birthday, was again the laying of the cornerstone for the Nuevo Zamboanga Colleges Inc. Laboratory Hotel, and in about three month's time, here we are again invited to attend the Blessing and Inauguration of the Nuevo Zamboanga Laboratory Hotel!

By the way, I was asked by my friend, Happie, why it is called a Laboratory. (I should have thought about explaining it earlier!) I hope I am right, but the primary intention of the hotel is to serve as a laboratory (as in testing!) hotel for the B.S.HRM students of NZCI and those taking the TESDA courses related to cookery, front-desk, food and beverage services, bartending and the like. The laboratory hotel is in the same compound as the Nuevo Zamboanga Colleges Inc. extension in Pasobolong.

For those who need to undergo assessment for the TESDA courses, the Laboratory hotel may also be rented by the assessors for the examination. According to Monsi Cris, they were advised to make a laboratory hotel as a requirement for the B.S. HRM Course and not to depend on Lantaka Hotel By the Sea. It must be noted, though, that many other schools offering the B.S.HRM Course also do not have laboratory hotels.

However, since Monsi Cris and brother, Alan have made to place so elegant and with the cozy ambience, the place is so ideal, too, for parties, seminars and even team-building activities.

The place has a very fresh ambience and is ideal for team building activities as well as seminars and workshops, and of course, happy celebrations such as birthday parties and the like.
I recommend for you all to visit the place and see it for yourself!
TESDA-IX approves Nuevo Zamboanga College as A RECOGNIZED ASSESSMENT CENTER for: BARTENDING, COOKERY, BREAD AND PASTRY PRODUCTION, TOUR GUIDING SERVICES, FRONT OFFICE SERVICES, HOUSEKEEPING, FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICES. Furthermore, TESDA-IX suggested that NZCI OFFERS : HOUSEHOLD NC II and EVENT MANAGEMENT COMPETENCIES. -- Monsi Cris FB

We wish the best to Nuevo Zamboanga Colleges Inc., that NZCI may continue to give more positive opportunities for the youth (
for the students it serves and molds) and further fan the glimmer of hope to a tangible reality... for a progressive Zamboanga City!

As Monsi would say, "GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!"

P.S.
*    Thank you very much to the Nuevo Zamboanga Colleges Inc. B.S. HRM students with Ma'am Hazel Torres and Ma'am Rita De Vera who contributed so much to the CMZ BRA (Bra to Raise Awareness) Campaign Project through Bra Collection and during the BRA ART workshop, where they embellished among the most beautiful bras, many of which are now on display at the Lantaka Hotel by the Sea! The ladies were indeed an epitome of proper personality development training and with artistic innovation.

LEO RUN FOR NHL @ ZAMBOANGA CITY

Here is an invitation from my dear friend, Ms. Jenn Kwan-Culajara of the Pilar College LEO group for a very noble cause: RUN FOR NHL, which will happen later today, June 14, 2014!
MS. JENN of LEO and MR. PERCY MIRAVITE of Zamboanga Hermosa Lions Club inviting CMZ to join the Run for NHL

This activity is intended as the launching activity of the Pilar College LEO group to start off their Leo Club with a BANG and with a purpose!
credits: Jenn's FB
NHL stands for Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and the funds for this run for a cause is to help support the expenses of their fellow nurse who worked abroad but is now back for palliative care because of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma!

The  assembly point is at Nuñez Extension, which is where Ciudad Medical Zamboanga is located and will end at the Paseo Del Mar, where the Ciudad De Zamboanga B.R.E.A.S.T. Installation Art is displayed. (P.S. this is coincidental, though, and not because of CMZ!)

The Run for NHL will start at 5 p.m. and will end later in the evening so as to appreciate the "drama" of this run, which is the neon fluorescence and glow, since all registered runners will receive something NEON at the start of the run!
credits: Jenn's FB

Also, this Awareness Run is sponsored by Skinny Greens, Detox Smoothies (c/o Jenn), which the runners will receive aside from the bottled water and the shirt number!

LET US ALL SUPPORT THIS NEON AWARENESS RUN FOR NHL!

116th PHILIPPINE INDEPENDENCE DAY 2014

This is the Zamboanga City Hall on the night of the 116th Philippine Independence Day!

We do hope we can eventually reach the Era of Real Independence that we dream of!!!

The Ciudad de Zamboanga B.R.E.A.S.T. (Bra to Raise Early Awareness for Screening and Treatment) Installation Art is named as such to honor the whole Zamboanga City community who contributed to the CMZ BRA Campaign Project.
