CMZ BRAngay 38: PASOBOLONG

August 3, 2016.
Here we are again for our 38th BRAngay Project activity.

The CMZ Breast Wellness Center with the Zamboanga City Medical Society conducted a Breast Cancer Awareness lecture with Breast Screening at the Holy Rosary Family Center in Pasobolong upon the invitation of Sr. Josefina Manuel and Ma'am Edna Sumergido.

We were able to cater to families from Pasobolong, Salaan, Mercedes, Culianan and neighboring areas.

Registration.

Breast Screening.
Breast Cancer Awareness lecture.
We were prepared with the LCD projector, unfortunately, we had a brown-out as soon as we started, then, the power never came back even when we left three hours after.

Fortunately, we have around our tarpaulins as our back-up teaching materials.
We had the opportunity to talk to a Breast Cancer patient, and her ordeal and which we have to facilitate so she can have her treatment in the government facility. This was a very enlightening experience!

Open Forum.

After the lecture...

Thanks to the Holy Rosary Family Center for our snacks... and for the opportunity to serve.

And by the way, if you happen to see this product, please support these banana chips and Alfajor as these are made by the livelihood group here at the Holy Rosary Family Center together with the Department of Trade and Industry.

Such a fruitful day and such yummy goodies we brought home!

ZAMBOANGA'S PRIDE: HIDILYN DIAZ

I am very proud that the newly hailed silver medalist in the Rio Olympics (2016), is from Mampang, Zamboanga City!

Thanks to One Zamboanga for this photo.
To share more about Hidilyn Diaz, I have pasted a column written by my dear friend, R. G. Antonet Go at the Daily Zamboanga Times dated August 9, 2016 and entitled Hidilyn Diaz gives PHL 1st Olympic medal in 20 years.

Isn't this inspiring?

An Olympian doesn't need to have the highest and most expensive form of training nor equipment to achieve the ultimate prize in sports! (But of course, it doesn't hurt if you also have the opportunity for these!

From what I gathered from her story, Passion, Practice, Performance, Perserverance and Prayers paving her path towards Perfection for Pride for the Philippines!!!

A simple young lady from Mampang, Zamboanga City garnered a SILVER MEDAL at the 2016 Rio Olympics!

Let us all be inspired by Hidilyn Diaz and develop the Culture of Excellence within ourselves, by making the most of what we have and proactively finding ways to go beyond the limitations that face us!

In whatever field we are in, let us develop a culture where one "makes possible the impossible" and we have to start NOW!

Congratulations, Hidilyn Diaz
Thank you very much for the inspiration!!!

Go Zamboanga City!
Go Mindanao!
Go Philippines!
This is OUR TIME TO SHINE!!!
