ReplyDeleteEven if we give them this opportunity, there were women already in the hospital who our team personally invited (like those waiting in dialysis for their family) and still they did not avail... it seemed that they were afraid or too shy. This is when we fell sad...

DeleteThis is a nice project, Doc. Do you have a dummy as a sample of what a breast with lump feels like? I feel anxious doing my own breast exam because I cannot tell if I am 'patting' it correctly.
ReplyDeleteNo we do not have a dummy as a sample but a lump usually can be felt when it is one centimeter in size. You have to do the breast self exam monthly (can be seen in you-tube) by looking at your breast then by feeling it so that you know the baseline, then, when there is some change noted like feeling a lump, you can go visit your doctor.
