It is International Women's Month and finally, the Ciudad de Zamboanga B.R.E.A.S.T. (Bra to Raise Early Awareness for Screening and Treatment) Installation Art is unveiled at the Ciudad Medical Zamboanga frontage close to the CMZ Pharmacy.
This is the beautiful product of the Ciudad Medical Zamboanga Corporate Social Responsibility project called the CMZ B.R.A. (Bra to Raise Awareness) Campaign Project! headed by CMZ Medical Director, Dr. Filipinas Rojo.
This Ciudad de Zamboanga B.R.E.A.S.T. Installation Art is created by the Sulu-born, international artist Rameer Tawasil with artist friends and CMZ staff, trainees and affiliates jointly working with him to finish this innovative artwork. Decorated bras made by our partners in the community also add to the beauty of this Installation Art!
Total height including stage: 4.27 m or 14 feet.
Height of stage: 1.22 m or 4 feet
Width: 4.88 m or 16 feet
Depth: 2.44 m or 8 feet
We started the CMZ B.R.A. (Bra to Raise Awareness) Campaign Project last January 17, 2014 (National Cancer Consciousness Week) with the B.R.A. Drop Box Decorating Contest followed by the B.R.A. Collection Contest (launched World Cancer Day February 4, 2014) which yielded about 9600 bras from all over the Philippines and also from friends abroad (Brunei, U.S.A., UK and the Netherlands) at the end of the collection period!
Along the way, we also had the CMZ B.R.A. A.R.T. Workshop done last February 7 and March 12 to start decorating the old and used bras in preparation for the Installation Art.
And not to forget, we want to thank our partners in the community as well as friends from Bulacan, Cebu, Manila and Brunei who decorated about 500 bras, some of which are already part of this great masterpiece.
Why don't you come and visit the Ciudad de Zamboanga B.R.E.A.S.T. Installation Art at Ciudad Medical Zamboanga and spot where your decorated bra is... then, have your picture taken and of course, post it on FB!
She found her bra...maybe, you can find your bra, too!
And if you notice, there are also two artworks on each side which were made by artists from CMZ Ward E led by Jude Locson for the B.R.A. Drop Box Decorating Contest, and is now an additional attraction for the gigantic bra!
Come and have your photos taken here!

The Ciudad de Zamboanga B.R.E.A.S.T. Installation Art may be the largest BRA art made up of old and used bras as well as decorated bras here in the Philippines and the world! (Please inform us if you believe otherwise!)
And most of all, this is THE work of art of the Zamboanga City community and from friends in the Philippines and also internationally, which makes this Ciudad de Zamboanga B.R.E.A.S.T. Installation Art even more meaningful!
Don't forget to schedule your Breast Wellness and Breast Cancer Awareness lectures at the Ciudad Medical Zamboanga Breast Wellness Center with this phone number: (63)(62)992-7330 local 1278.
