After the overwhelming support for the CMZ B.R.A. A.R.T. workshop with Sulu-born International Artist, Rameer Tawasil, this was the message I posted in my Facebook shoutout:
THANK YOU TO ALL THE PARTICIPANTS OF THE CMZ
B.R.A. A.R.T. WORKSHOP at the CMZ Conference Room! We really had a wonderful
time with you and so amazed at the beautifully decorated and crafted bras you
created today! Thanks to Mayor Beng, Councilor Myra Paz and Councilor Pin-Pin
for gracing the event. Thanks to the Breast Cancer survivors group (MBCSEA),
Sangguniang Panglungsod, Nuevo Zamboanga/ Lantaka Hotel group, DOH IX, City
Health Office, PhilHealth, ADZU, UZ, Brent, Westmincom, PNB, Metrobank, Ciudad Medical
Confidants and the CMZ staff and nurse trainees. Thanks to Mila Arieta and
Dante Corteza for being with us, as well as the Camera Club and the Zamboanga
Bloggers representative.
We realize that this isn't exactly a good time for schools as it was the Final Exam season as well as the several Pre-Graduation activities. Also, the activity was in the middle of the week for those in the office or in business. But, we still felt the excitement that they want to be part of the project!
There were almost 200 bras decorated after the whole day activity, aside from about 220 bras already done right after the first CMZ B.R.A. A.R.T. workshop with CMZ staff. And more bras still being decorated at this time.
Again, these are what the acronyms stand for:
CMZ: Ciudad Medical Zamboanga (Zamboanga Polymedic Hospital Inc.)
B.R.A.: Bra to Raise Awareness
A.R.T.: Act Right Together
Workshop
Here are the participants and their beautiful bras!
