February 3, 2016. The CMZ Performance Excellence (CPEx) Rounds is back for 2016!
We started off with the Pharmacy Team with a visit and audit of the Pharmacy area based on the DOH Safe Hospital Initiatives and the modified Quality Assurance Audit followed by the forum part at the CMZ CT Scan conference room for the talks on Patient Safety.
The Audit was conducted by Medical Director, Dr. Filipinas Rojo, Administrative Officer, Ms. Karren Mae Masuhud, HR Manager, Ms. Juvee Calica, Nursing Director, Ms. Celita Calma and Infection Control Nurse, Ms. Kamille Alcala.

We went over issues from 2015 and evaluated how they are at the present time.
Priority topic is on Medication Safety, although, other International Patient Safety Goals such as Identifying Patients Correctly and Effective Communication were also discussed.
We do hope the CPEx 1 for Pharmacy would help develop the Culture of Patient Safety in Ciudad Medical Zamboanga.
