It is the Regatta de Vinta 2012 at the R.T.Lim Boulevard and more fondly called Cawa-Cawa Boulevard.
This marks the beginning of the Zamboanga Hermosa Festival 2012!
I arrived too early this morning and now almost too late since it was almost at the end of the race, but there were still many vintas around.
If you notice, they have removed the numbers on the vinta sails.
I like it better this way since it appears more natural than with the numbers on, which would indeed look like a race.
The waves were a bit visible at the shoreline, so I think she was quite brave.
I guess the folks were also so happy to see her.
And it looks like she is really enjoying herself!
She was immediately surrounded by the people and saw her engage in a short conversation.
A few months back, they started with a program at the Paseo Del Mar where you can ride the vinta during weekends. You can check this out!
